Next Polymers is undertaking a major infrastructure expansion. The factory quadruples its production capacity at the extrusion lines.

Texas certified

Brunet Group obtains certification from the Texas Department of Transportation for noise barriers.

2019

The Réseau express metropolitain (“REM”)

Brunet Group concludes a contract for 27,000 m2 of noise barriers for the Réseau Express Métropolitain (“REM”)

2019

Virginia noise barrier project

Conclusion of a contract for 52,000 m2 of noise barriers on American soil.

2018

Prequalified in Virginia

Groupe Brunet is prequalified for 10 years by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) for our PVC noise barriers.

2018

New TL5 technology

The development of TL5 noise barrier technology in accordance with NCHRP Report 350.

2014

Marketing of SDD3

The Group obtained certification from the Ministère de l’Environnement du Québec for its new technology in stormwater management and began marketing the product.

2012

A factory in Panama

As part of a major mining project, the Group is opening a factory in Panama.

2016

Champlain Bridge Project

The company gets the contract for the New Jersey-type barriers for the Champlain Bridge.

2012

Acquisition of the Société de Services en Signalisation (SSS)

The Brunet Group acquires a company that specializes in the signaling equipment necessary on construction sites.

2017

Turcot interchange project

The Group obtained contracts for New Jersey-type barriers and noise barriers for the Turcot interchange.

2011

Acquisition of Next Polymers

The Group adds the manufacture of PVC pipes to its diversified portfolio. The company retained its trade name Next Polymers.

2010

Expansion in northern Quebec

During 2010, the Group acquired five ready-mix business locations in northern Quebec.

2005

Expansion on American soil

Opening two factories in Florida.

2002

Béton Brunet 2001 inc.

The Group is developing a ready-mix concrete division: Béton Brunet 2001 inc.

2002

Distribution Brunet inc.

Development of a division focused on the manufacture of sewer, water and drainage products.

2001

Les produits de béton Casaubon inc.

Purchase of a prefabricated concrete manhole and sump plant in Casaubon.

1999

New Jersey type slides

Development of a new division of New Jersey type slides.

1923

Manufacturing of the first products

The first concrete pipes were produced in 1923 at R. Brunet Concrete Limited.

1998

Transfer of the company to a third

In 1998, the company passed into new hands, those of Bernard Brunet, Lucien’s son, and then began an important phase of development. Béton Brunet Limited became Béton Brunet Limited, and the business grew considerably.

1990

Industry award

The company evolved and became, at the end of the 1990s, the largest producer of concrete pipes in Quebec.

1922

Business creation

The Groupe Brunet is a group of family businesses that was founded in Ormstown, Quebec, under the direction of Romeo Brunet.

1950

Incorporation under the name Les tuyaux de Béton Brunet Brunet Ltée

In 1955, Romeo’s two sons, Lucien and Roger, took over the company and moved the business to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. They then incorporated the company under the name Les tuyaux de Béton Brunet Limited. Over the years, the company has made several investments with a view to constant improvement.
